Skellefteå riding club was founded in 1955 and runs one of northern Sweden's largest riding facilities. Here you will find general information about what applies at our club. From SRKS statutes:
"Skellefteå Ridklubb is a non-profit association that is affiliated to the Swedish Equestrian Federation (SvRF), and thereby affiliated to the Swedish Sports Confederation (RF).
The association is an association of people interested in equestrian sports with the purpose of, among other things, promoting horse riding in the manner specified in SvRF's statutes, as well as with the special objective of supporting and developing educational and lesson activities for children and young people."
Goals and core values
Security
- We handle each other, the horses and the facility in a safe manner.
- We follow the rules that exist and the governing documents for stables, horse keeping and the facility.
- We stay drug free.
- We do not use phones when handling the horses.
- We do not use headphones of any kind when handling the horses.
- We do not film anyone who has not given their consent.
Companionship
- We see everyone and say Hi to everyone we meet.
- We are good friends and support and stand up for each other.
- We use careful language with both people and horses.
- We show respect and care for each other and the horse. We show team and club spirit and encourage each other at competitions.
- We speak up if we think someone is violating our guiding principles.
Commitment
- We participate and work at the club's events.
- We behave in a positive way, with a big heart for horses, riding and the club.
- We keep good order around us and take good care of tools and equipment.
- We are interested in each other and the development of the club.
- We give each other inspiration and the will to develop in the club.
- We contribute to everyone feeling proud to be a member, and to our assignments in sections and the board.

We want:
- to run activities where everyone in the association works together for each other.
- keep human and horse well-being at the center.
- EVERYONE to feel welcome at SRK regardless of knowledge, gender, origin, disability and social background.
- to have a broad operation that gives everyone the opportunity to practice the sport strengthen compationship, social responsibility, ethical rules and team spirit.
- to have a drug-free facility.
- to function as a youth recreation center for the children who stay at the facility without riding.
